Often rescue centres receive sea turtle showing traumatic injuries of the skull, due to the impact with boats, trawling nets, or suffering for a disease and having been hit against rocks by waves. More, unfortunately in some cases this kind of injury is caused intentionally by fishermen, using harpoons or tools. The repair of skull fractures is a real deal in sea turtles because of the morphological structure and the anatomical features of the cranial bones, making difficult the surgical reduction of the fracture.
